FRIENDS OF OXFORD BAROQUE WEEK
Baroque Chamber Music Playing Day with Peter Collier

Headington School, Oxford
Saturday, 14 April 2007 – 10am for 10.30am until 6pm

Forum members are invited to join the Friends of the Oxford Baroque Week for their annual baroque chamber music playing day at Headington School.

Pitch will be both 415 and 440, so you are recommended to bring instruments (flutes, oboes, recorders, bassoons, strings, continuo) at both pitches if you can. Keyboard players (with or without their own instruments) and other continuo instruments are most welcome, as are singers who would like to sing solo with obbligato instruments (but you should bring your own music).

Peter Collier will arrange four playing sessions with different groups, and provide music from his enormous library of baroque chamber music for large and small ensembles. Sessions are usually one-to-a-part so a good standard of sight-reading is necessary.
